What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired by God. It is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in verbal, complete inspiration, and it is a divinely authoritative standard for every generation and life.  2 Timothy 3:16

We believe in the Godhead existing eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these three are one God. 1 John 5:7

We believe God is the absolute and sole Creator of the universe and that creation was by His divine command. Genesis 1:1-28

We believe God, by His sovereign choice and out of His love for mankind, sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world to save sinful mankind and that Jesus is the only way to true salvation. John 14:6

We believe that Jesus in the flesh was both God and Man. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life; He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later, he ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the Church and intercedes for believers. We believe Jesus is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to the Earth to set up His millennial Kingdom.  John 8:58, 10:30.  1 Corinthians 15:4.  Romans 8:34.  Revelation 20:2-5

We believe The Lord Jesus made a perfect atonement for sin, through His sacrificial death and shed blood, and has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. We believe that men are justified and saved on the simple ground of His sacrificial death, and resurrection.  Romans 3:21-25

We believe that salvation through Jesus Christ, with its forgiveness of sins, its importation of a new nature, and its assurance of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership, or mans efforts and is purely God’s Grace. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he or she cannot loose their salvation, but sin may interrupt the joy of their fellowship with God and bring loving discipline from their Heavenly Father.  John 3:16

We believe that all who truly receive Christ become joint heirs with Him, and at death their spirit departs to be with Christ in eternal blessedness.  Romans 8:17

We believe that it is the will of God for every Christian to become a Disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit, who indwells, baptizes, and seals all believers at the moment of salvation.  2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13-14

We believe that every true Christian is to be a dynamic part of a local church, since the church is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community influence. Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe it is the responsibility of the Church (every believer) to carry out the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:18-20, until the end of the age.
